Protecting LGBTQIA+ Youth in Kentucky: Support KYLP’s Fight for Equality
The Kentucky Youth Law Project, Inc. (KYLP) provides free legal services to LGBTQIA+ children and youth across Kentucky, ensuring their rights are protected.
KYLP helps LGBTQIA+ youth facing discrimination, harassment, or marginalization because of their sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression in schools, foster care, juvenile justice facilities, and at home. Our work covers issues like housing, education, healthcare, employment discrimination, gender identity, and family acceptance.
We also partner with organizations such as Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), foster care agencies, schools, shelters, civil rights organizations, and child welfare agencies to reach vulnerable youth. Through these partnerships, we address systemic challenges, advocate for policy changes, and provide training on LGBTQIA+ cultural competency.
KYLP supports attorneys and judges by offering resources and training to ensure fair treatment of LGBTQIA+ youth in legal proceedings.
By working with these partners, KYLP creates a strong support network for LGBTQIA+ youth, helping them navigate legal challenges and secure their rights.
Your support helps KYLP continue this essential work. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to the Kentucky Youth Law Project today.
