Third Annual KYLP Champion Awards Dinner

A catered meal will be provided by Fork, Knife, and Spoon Catering of Frankfort.

This year, we will be honoring Champion Award winners Oliver Hall, of the Kentucky Health Justice Network, and Camp Beacon, a summer camp providing a safe experience for Kentucky's LGBTQIA+ youth. Congratulations to our 2025 Champion Award winners!

All donations will be added to our General Fund and will be used in the following ways:

• To help pay court costs and recording fees for our name change clients;
• To fund our outreach efforts, including tabling opportunities at pride festivals and other events around the state; and
• To train lawyers, judges, court staff, educators, social workers, and foster parents regarding the vital importance of protecting the legal rights of LGBTQIA+ youth.

Finally, we should note that KYLP is an all-volunteer organization at this time. All of our board members and other volunteers give of their time, their talents, and their energy to ensure that KYLP is successful in our mission to provide free legal representation and advocacy for Kentucky's LGBTQIA+ children and youth.

We appreciate our donors because they believe our work has value. One of the reasons we have created the annual Champion Awards events, in addition to honoring those individuals and organizations who have championed the rights of LGBTQIA+ youth, is so that we can provide an opportunity for our donors and supporters to mingle, learn about some of the important work we are doing, and feel a sense of community in this fairly hostile state.
